Encouraging Word for Today 5/3/24

1 Timothy 6:12

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses."

Yesterday we wrote about fighting the enemy with the weapons, (which are not carnal), that the Lord provides for us if we will use them. Today I thought about how we fight the enemy (the devil).

1. We need to fight whole heartily: (Matthew 22:37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind."

2. We are fighting for a cause: ( Philippians 1:17 "But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.)

3. Expect victory: ( 1 Corinthians 15:57 "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.")

Stay strong in the Lord my Friends and keep looking up. Our redemption draweth nigh. Have a Blessed weekend.
