Encouraging Word for Today 6/24/24

Psalm 57:1-2

1. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

2. I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

Calamities are misfortunes which bring great distress upon individuals. Whatever we have to encounter in this life, I would rather go through it with the Lord on my side than without Him. The Lord is our refuge and strength. He is the one that hears our prayers and protects us until things pass. All we have and all we are is in His control. Galatians 2:20 says, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
