Saved to Serve

1 Timothy 1:15-16

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.    Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.”

When the Lord mercifully saves us, we become an ambassador for Christ to all those that we come into contact with. We each have a service that the Lord wants us to use for his Glory. The Bible says in Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” We are servants to our family, to our Church where we attend, on our job, in the community, and as a citizen of our country. There is so much that we can do to be that “pattern” that Paul spoke about to show those that are lost that being a borned again believer in Jesus Christ is the BEST way to live (happy) and the only way to “life everlasting.” We are saved to serve not to sit and in these last days that we are living in, we do need to be “Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:16) God Bless each one.
