What I Know (Part 2)

Rom 14:8  For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.

The Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 1:21-24, “ For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.”

I know this, that everything that the Lord has blessed and given me in this life is all because of him. My Family, my home, my job, the ministry he called me unto, the Church where he allows me to Pastor, is all because of him. When we look around and see the condition that the world is in and all the wickedness and sin that is around us, we can know that the Lord is still in control by the assurance that we find in the Word of God knowing that the borned again believer in Jesus Christ are his. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20   “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”

Many times we as Christians get in the same strait that the Apostle Paul was in but because of what we know from reading, studying, and hearing the scriptures by the witness of the Holy Spirit with our spirit, we know that the Lord knows what is best in our lives. Continue to trust and believe what you know is true and pure in the Word of God and everything will work for the Glory of God in your life.

I will leave this writing with a verse that I heard quoted many times by a man of God that was a great influence in my life (and they are several) and is now at rest with the Lord.

Psalms 119:140  Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
