A Tribute to the Bible Part 3
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11
In this last part of “A Tribute to the Bible”, I will finish with these last six verses that we find in Psalm 119.
Psalm 119:89 ”For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.” The Bible will give us assurance that we don’t have to doubt our salvation in the Lord, it’s settled.
Psalm 119:105 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” The Bible will guide our steps and show us where we are going.
Psalm 119:114 “Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.” The Bible has been tried and has proven itself time and time again.
Psalm 119:140 “ Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.” The Bible should be part of our first love.
Psalm 119:160 “Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgements endureth for ever.” The Bible is rooted and grounded in the truth.
Psalm 119:162 “I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.” The Bible is the most precious book that we can ever have.
I will end with this verse from Psalm 119:170. “Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.” May I always pray unto the Lord that thy will be done according to your precious word. The Bible, what a wonderful gift given to mankind from our gracious heavenly Father above. God Bless, Bro. Shayne.
Just something extra. This is a quote from D.L. Moody.
“I prayed for Faith, and thought that some day Faith would come down and strike me like lightning. But Faith did not seem to come. One day I read in the tenth chapter of Romans, “Now faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” I had closed my Bible and prayed for Faith. I now opened my Bible, and began to study, and Faith has been growing ever since.”
What a tribute to the Bible. Have a blessed day.
