Keep Yourselves in the Love of God
Jude 21 “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.”
During these last days that we are living in, { 2 Timothy 3 says they are perilous times}, it is very easy to let the evils of this world provoke us unto wickedness instead of love. I would like to give four verses of scripture of how we can keep ourselves in the love of God so we may be able to stand strong when the enemy provokes us.
Psalm 101:3 “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”
1 Timothy 5:22 “Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.
Romans 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Hebrews 2:1 “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.”
All of these verses deal with ourselves and what we as individual Christians should do. There are many other scriptures that we may search out and read to help us resist the devil and show the Love of God in our hearts toward others but these are just four we can start with.
