Pleasing the Lord

When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. { Proverbs 16:7 }

As a Christian, we face many enemies. First, I would like to point out who our enemies are in the flesh. We can find them listed in the Word of God. 1Corinthians 6:9, Galatians 5:19-21, 2 Timothy 3:2-7

When the Lord Jesus Christ saves us, these things become our enemies. Christ saves us from these things but our enemy the devil tries to tempt us to sin by using these fleshful lusts against us. That’s why praying, studying God’s Word, and obeying the Word is so important so that we may be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

To please God, we cannot let these things come back into our lives. The Bible says in Romans 8:8, “So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Romans 8:13 says, “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.”

Here are three verses of scripture, (they are more) that tells us how we can please God.

  1. Hebrews 11:6 {Faith}

  2. Matthew 22:37 {Love}

  3. 1 John 2:15-17 {Obedience}

    My Friend, keep the Faith, Love Him, and do his Will, we will have peace with our enemies so that we may have a joyful life in this present evil world and be ready for that Heavenly Home Christ has prepared for us. God continue to bless you. Brother Shayne
