Revival

Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Psalm 85:6

Revive means to return or recover to a state of life, to renew or recover from a state of emptiness to a state of joy. It is important that a Christian has a state of joy in their life especially during these days we are living in when it seems that COVID has changed every aspect of life that we have known. The one aspect that I would like to concentrate on for a brief time is Church attendance for the Christian. In order for the Christian to maintain their Joy in serving the Lord we need time together with others of like faith. Christ said in John 15 verse 11, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”

I know the Lord has not forgot or forsaken those faithful that are unable to attend because of sickness or illness but it is necessary for the saved that are able to attend service to be there for our own benefit in our service to God. The Apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 10:25, “Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.”

So much the more, well friend, if we believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, which I do, does this not emphasize the importance of fellowshipping in the House of the Lord more than ever so that we might be an encouragement one to another and most important, hear the Word. (Remember the one on Hearing). I am writing about Revival and revival is not just a series of meetings but what we need in order to have it. Are we to wait until we schedule a week of services to get revived or do we get prepared to come revived to a week of services. Just something to ponder about. My next writing may be on how to prepare to be revived, if the Lord doesn’t change my thoughts to something else before this. God Bless we love you and may the Lord continue to bless your upcoming days.
