Unity

BEHOLD, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

Unity is a state of being one. It is profitable and well pleasing among the brethren. (All those that are borned again) It will cool down the passions of men and bring fruitfulness to everything that is good. It will make hearts tender and enable us to receive the good seed of the Word of God. It is in this state that the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

1 Corinthians 12:13 says, “For by one Spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."

The blessed Word commands us in Ephesians 4:3 to do this, “Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Endeavouring means to make an effort. The world is in a state of division but the Children of God are able, through his Son Jesus Christ, to Let brotherly love continue. {Hebrews 13:1}

Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 12:25, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand.”

As Brethren, we need to really stand together in the Word of God especially now when the Church is under such attack from the forces of evil. We have the Victory if we will just put forth the effort because this is what the Lord commanded and he will never let us down.
